Cookie is a long-haired All-American mix, thought by many to be a Longhaired Rottweiler. Rescued from the Animal Shelter, he turned out to be a wonderful big boy with a great temperament, and is a fun playmate for the other dogs. His favorite store is Ace Hardware, where well-behaved dogs are welcomed with a treat.
6 Jan 2006 - Cookie developed bone cancer about a month ago, in his left shoulder. Pain meds had kept him comfortable, but last night he was no longer able to get any rest. So today I 'released' him to play with Bronson and lots of other old buddies. Cookie had many friends here, and I'm sure he once again has many friends, and can romp and bounce and play with them all. I hope to see him again in another life. He was my heart dog, and is sorely missed. Whoever looks after the dogs up there - please make sure my boy has a tug toy and other dogs to tug with. Also a tennis ball that he can just lay on his back and chew on. And the occasional 'nearly empty' tub of whipped butter for him to clean out - that's his favorite treat.
